"Embrace every opportunity, believe in yourself, and don't be afraid to ask others for support."

LMM Founder & Artist - Olivia Huntingford

As an artist and creative myself, I understand how challenging running a small business can be. At LMM we aim to help promote and support independent makers and designers as much as possible; to spread the love of creativity and community.

I have been organising and running pop up exhibitions and markets since 2016, hosting them every year in different locations around London. Last November was a great success at the lovely Duchess Belle Pub, Battersea. The pub was filled with 20 amazing makers, selling their unique and wonderful wares, as well as a craft station run by The Crafty Makers and face painting for kids. We can’t wait to host another market at The Duchess Belle and other exciting venues. Our Christmas markets will either happen in real life on 21st November and 12th December, or be turned virtual. We can't wait for these!

We have been able to host three virtual markets since LMM was born. The first online event happened during lockdown, on Saturday 30th May. Over 170 makers were featured here on our website, and we ran the market through Instagram, with over 220 small businesses taking part.

The second online market showcased a curated group of 30 makers, over the weekend of 22nd/23rd August. All of the businesses were featured on our website with links to their shops, and the listings stayed live until 1st September. We also ran a live auction on both days, which brought something new and exciting to this event. We had visitors from all over the World tuning in - America, South Africa, Thailand, Australia and Europe to name a few. The sense of community and support has been incredible.

Our third event was the Eco-Conscious Online Market which happened at the beginning of October. We introduced 30 amazing businesses, from art and clothing, to beauty and food products, who all have an eco ethos at heart. This event was received so well and collectively we raised £180 for Friend's of the Earth in our Charity Auction.

All of these markets have exceeded our expectations and we can't wait for the final event of the year - our virtual Christmas Market on 21st and 22nd November.

Thank you for stopping by and supporting our makers.

All the best,
