Spring Recommendations

Hiya, long time no speak!

Things have been a bit busy since we last saw you at our Spring Market in March and it doesn't look like life will be quieting down any time soon. Plus, we adopted a kitten - his name is Horatio and he's very cute.

Although I won't be hosting any markets this summer, there are lots of great events happening within our community which I'd like to shout about. Scroll down to see our latest round up of free events, workshops, exhibitions, films and more.

Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend,

Olivia

Three weeks away! We can't wait to be back at House of Vans in Waterloo for our Spring Market on Saturday 14th May. There will be lost in store including a morning workshop, t-shirt printing throughout the day, and a Mental Health talk in the afternoon. Pop it in your diary and click the photo to get your free ticket....

THANK YOU

A belated note to say thank you for coming to our Spring Market in Leake Street Arches, it was a blast! Lots of amazing feedback from our makers and visitors.

EXHIBITION We can't wait to visit this exhibition TRAFFICKED at Woolff Gallery in Marlyebone. The sustainable artist Josh Gluckstein uses recycled cardboard to make life-sized animal sculptures. Josh intends to raise awareness about animal trafficking and poaching which is endangering many wildlife populations. Visit before 8th May!

FILM

We went to see 'Air' the other evening (at our local cinema in BPS) and it didn't disappoint. I couldn't stop laughing and dancing to the great tunes...fortunately our neighbour was doing the same! If you haven't seen the trailer, definitely book tickets without watching it.

BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK

If you missed the last 'Blind Date with a Book' event, hosted by the brilliant team at SoLo Craft Fair Shop in Elephant & Castle, there is one coming up this Sunday 30th April. Books are given away for free each month to bring a little cheer to the local community. You can also take a look inside their shop!

FOOD

We occasionally go to Vauxhall Marketplace if we can't decide what to eat or can't be bothered to cook. There are 10 individual food counters to choose from and the vibe/music is really good. It's also open 7 days a week until late!
