Things to do in London on Saturday 11th March

Looking to visit our Spring Market in Waterloo on Saturday 11th March? To help you make a full day of it, we thought we'd share some other fun events happening around the area.



London Makers Market


30+ independent makers setting up shop in Leake Street Arches for one day only! Pop by between 11-5pm, browse the amazing stalls, chat to our makers, and grab yourself some beautiful handmade gifts for future gifting.





Vault Festival


In full swing at The Vaults London, and situated at the end of Leake Street Arches, why not book an act or performance on Saturday 11th March . The festival is running until Sunday 19th March, so this is a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.





The Glitch


A vibrant artsy cafe & bar located on Lower Marsh, close to Leake Street Arches. Set up by VAULT Creative Arts, the producers of VAULT Festival, this creative community space is a great place to hang out or grab some food. In the evenings you can find one-off events in the space such as intimate comedy, music and spoken word. Make sure to visit on Saturday 11th March and try one of their toasties.





WOW Festival


"If you identify as a woman or know a woman, WOW is for you." Jude Kelly, Founder of WOW. Join the movement and visit this special festival at the Southbank Centre from 10-12th March. Access informative talks by purchasing your tickets online, or check out the WOW Marketplace for free (from 11.30am).





Sylvia at The Old Vic


Catch Beverley Knight in Sylvia until 8th April at The Old Vic, Waterloo. Celebrating the life of feminist and activist Sylvia Pankhurst at the heart of the Suffragette movement. Original music unites with hip hop dance to shine a light on historic moments.





Mike Nelson: Extinction Beckons


Stroll over to the Hayward Gallery and view the new exhibition by internationally acclaimed British artist Mike Nelson. The gallery spaces have been transformed into eery representations of our fragile, globalised world. Visit before 7th May.





National Theatre


Head to the National Theatre to watch one of the many different plays being performed, such as Standing at the Edge's Sky (until 25th March), Romeo & Julie (until 1st April) or Phaedra (until 8th April).
